UNCG School of Education to Host Symposium
GREENSBORO - The UNCG School of Education will host a research symposium at Elliott University Center on Saturday, Oct. 4.
The School of Education Research Symposium is free and open to the public. The event, during Fall Fest, will provide alumni and the public an opportunity to learn about education research at UNCG and to interact with experts in the field.
Here is the schedule of events:
10 a.m. Welcome and opening remarks by School of Education Dean Dale H. Schunk in Elliot University Center Auditorium.
10:30 a.m. Research presentations in the auditorium.
Noon Lunch break
1 p.m. Presentation of research posters by students and faculty members in the Cone Ballroom
2 p.m. Roundtables to encourage research collaboration in the Claxton, Alexander and Kirkland rooms
3 p.m. Keynote address by Dr. John Hattie, head of the School of Education at the University of Auckland in New Zealand and former chair of the UNCG Department of Educational Research Methodology, in the auditorium
3:45 p.m. Award ceremony for winning posters
4:00 p.m. Overview of research directions and suggestions for the School of Education from a panel of three distinguished education researchers
4:30 p.m. Closing ceremonies
