Areas of Study

Graduate students choose from one of the following areas of study:

Applied Neuromechanics/Sports Medicine Kinesiology offers a M.S. degree and a Ph.D. degree in Applied Neuromechanics
Athletic Training The Athletic Training Education Program is a Masters program that is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education
Doctor of Education Program The Department of Kinesiology offers the Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) degree for experienced Kinesiology professionals.
Exercise Physiology Exercise Physiology (the study of how exercise effects the functions of the body) unites students with a shared interest and curiosity about physical activity.
Motor Behavior The Motor Behavior concentration involves inquiry related to human motor development, motor learning, and motor control.
Pedagogical Kinesiology Pedagogical Kinesiology
Community Youth Sport Development Community Youth Sport Development is designed to increase a students knowledge of teaching in community-based youth agencies.
Sociohistorical Studies Sociohistorical Studies
Sport & Exercise Psychology Sport & Exercise Psychology offers a graduate program in Sport and Exercise Psychology with both M.S. and Ph.D. degrees.
