Description & Pricing

  • Programs are run on a semester basis, and we appreciate you paying for the whole semester at once. If you begin the program after the start of the semester, the cost is adjusted accordingly. Payments are non-refundable.
  • All classes are conducted under the current guidelines for exercise set forth by the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM). The program director and graduate students are nationally certified fitness professionals through ACSM and the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).

Morning Program

Day: MWF 6:30am - 8:30am
Cost: $100/semester
Place: Student Recreation Center (corner of Walker and Aycock) see campus maps
Equipment/Facilities: Indoor track, Basketball courts, Cardiovascular exercise equipment, Strength training machines, Racquetball courts, Full locker room facilities

The morning program consists of cardiovascular exercises, resistance exercises with weights, and exercises to improve balance, core stability, and flexibility.

As part of the program, a student personal trainer will meet with you to discuss your exercise and fitness goals, likes and dislikes, and then design a program specifically tailored to your needs. Additionally, the personal trainer will work with you during several exercise sessions, and provide feedback and progress reports to you.

During the morning program, from 7am - 7:30am, their is an optional class that most participants in the program join.

You will receive a fitness assessment in order to determine your current fitness level. The assessment includes body composition, flexibility, cardiovascular and muscular endurance, and balance. Student personal trainers are seniors in the Department of Kinesiology and are excited to be able to apply their knowledge and skills to help you meet your fitness goals.

Noon Program

Day: MWF 12:00-12:55 p.m.
Cost: $100/semester
Place: HHP Bldg. Weight Room (rm. 123)
Equipment/Facilities: Upright bikes, Recumbent bikes, Elliptical trainer, Strength training machines, Free weights (no Locker room facilities available)

The noon class focuses on muscular fitness and includes exercises to improve balance, core stability, and flexibility.
