Brief Bio

Bill's doctorate is from New York University. His broad area of interest is physical activity and health with a special interest in older adults. His primary research area involves the effects of physical activity, health education and resource support on chronic pain conditions, especially rheumatologic pain. His secondary area of research is the effects of exercise on Alzheimer's Disease susceptibility. He teaches courses such as: fitness for life, development and implementation of fitness programs, exercise and older adults and advanced research seminar in exercise and sport science ( a doctoral dissertation proposal seminar). He has most recently published in journals such as: Clinical Nurse Specialist; Rehabilitation Nursing; Holistic Nursing Practice; Activities, Adaptation and Aging; Home Health Care Services Quarterly; Journal of Physical Activity and Health and North Carolina Medical Journal.
