"Archival Issues is published twice annually and circulates throughout the United States and internationally. Submissions to the journal come from across North America (and are welcome from anywhere in the world), and requests to reprint articles have been received from as far away as New Zealand. The journal truly is the United States' other archival journal and its scope extends well beyond the boundaries of the Midwest.
The Editorial Board of the Midwest Archives Conference strives to find articles that will interest and educate a wide variety of readers. Acceptable topics run the full range of archival activity and include articles that relate the concerns of other research and information fields to those of the archival profession. Every two years the journal recognizes the author of what is judged to be the best article in the previous two years of Archival Issues by presenting the Margaret Cross Norton Award. The award was established in 1985 to honor Margaret Cross Norton, a legendary pioneer in the American archival profession and the first state archivist of Illinois." |
