Want to Publish but Don't Know Where to Start?

You've come to the right place! The Mortimore-Singh Guide to Publication in Library and Information Studies is designed to help students, faculty and practitioners in library and information studies find the right outlet for their research. This guide brings together descriptions and submission guidelines for some of the most prominent English-language library and information studies periodicals in print today, as well as helpful resources for new authors. The editors of this guide are committed to the importance of scholarly publishing for professional growth, and to increasing the frequency of publication among students and practitioners in the field.

The About This Guide page provides a brief overview of the scope and intent of this guide, records basic information about its content, and explains how journals have been selected for inclusion.

The Publishing Resources page provides a brief list of websites, books and journal articles that offer practical advice for publishing in library and information studies.

Journal profiles include brief descriptions of the scope and intent of the journal (quoted directly from the organization or publisher website), frequency of publication, publisher name, website URL, and the URL of the journal's submission guidelines.

The Search By Subject page provides an index of journals arranged by subject. If you know the topic about which you wish to publish, you may find the subject index useful.
