Alumni Association

Outstanding Alumna/Alumnus Award

The award is limited to alumnæ/alumni who have graduate degrees from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, Department of Library and Information Studies and who have contributed significantly to the profession.

Indicators of significant contributions may include some, but not necessarily all, of the following:

• Exceptional service to the profession.
• Activity in professional associations.
• Record of publications.
• Awards and recognition in the profession.
• Responsibility for innovative programs.

Nominations may come from colleagues who are not graduates of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Nominators may be asked to provide the Selection Committee with additional supportive documentation on their candidate which might include, in addition to completed nomination form, a curriculum vitæ, copies of bibliographical listings, and letters of recommendation.
