Nominations for the Kovacs Award for Outstanding Alumni Achievement

The executive board of the UNCG Alumni Association is seeking nominations for the Kovacs Award for Outstanding Alumni Achievement.

The award is presented annually by the UNCG-LIS Alumni Association to a graduate of the UNCG Department of Library and Information Studies who has made significant contributions to libraries, library users, and Information Studies.

The next meeting of the Alumni Association board will be in early March, so please send any nominations to Jeff Stabnau via e-mail at jeff.stabnau@syngenta.com by March 4, 2008. Please include a statement which adequately describes your nominee’s career accomplishments and/or service to libraries and library users, along with the nominee’s current contact information.

The board will announce a recipient at this year’s alumni luncheon on April 12, 2008. A certificate and a commemorative gift will be presented to the recipient.
