Personal Statement
My objective when teaching a foreign language class is to enable students to communicate in the language in an authentic way. Effective communication is achieved through mastering the language of course but also being aware of the culture, habits, and sets of references of people from different countries. Besides leading students to proficiency in a foreign language, one of my fundamental goals is making students more aware of their own culture and language and teaching them critical thinking skills.
