Research/ Teaching Interests
Spanish for beginners & intermediate levels
I am a native of North Carolina. I have taught Spanish at UNCG for over 25 years. My travels include Mexico, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Honduras, Colombia,, Venezuela and Spain.
Personal Statement
I do love teaching at UNCG. My interests also include UNCG Theater, and I served as President of the UNCG Theater Angels. I am addicted to Telenovelas and I enjoy my 4 grandsons , 1 granddaughter, and my 2 Havanese.
Selected Professional Achievements
- Twice nominated for the Excellence in Teaching Award.
- Currently serves on Academic Integrity and Conduct Hearing Panels through the Dean of Students Office..
- Previously served on the Chancellor’s Task Force that ultimately led to the creation of the Center for New North Carolinians.
