International students are required to purchase a medical insurance program selected by UNCG. The current price (May 2001) is $550 per year. It is generally considered a good policy. When students are admitted they are told in the letter from Martha Trigonis that the insurance is required. They are also directed to a website to the company so they can download the information and sign up in advance or they can sign up once they arrive.
