The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro will host the 5th Regional Undergraduate Mathematics Conference on Saturday, November 7th, 2009.
The theme of this year’s conference is “Mathematical Biology and Computational Mathematics” and Professor James Selgrade from The North Carolina State University will give the plenary talk on this topic.
Funding for this conference is provided by the NSF grant DMS – 0846477 through the MAA RUMC program, the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, UNCG, and the UNCG Office of Undergraduate Research.

SERMON is a small, friendly, and informal gathering of number theorists and combinatorialists. In 2009 SERMON was held at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro Saturday April 18 and Sunday April 19, 2009. Talks were held on Saturday and Sunday.
