UNCG-RMSC is an annual one day conference promoting student research in mathematics, statistics, and their applications in various fields. The 2013 conference will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2013.
The following 9 students have won the award for the outstanding student presentation:
- Graguate student category
- Undergraduate student category
- High-school student category
The conference will feature contributed undergraduate and graduate research talks (15-20 minutes in length) and two invited talks by Dr. Simon Tavener and Dr. Jerry Reiter (click here to download the talk).aimed at a general mathematics and statistics audience. Session topics for the contributed talks include but are not limited to
- Mathematical Biology,
- Computational Mathematics, and
- Statistical techniques.

Registration is free and open to the community, including undergraduate, high school, and graduate students, high school teachers, and faculty. The deadline for registration and abstract submission is October 11, 2013.
All UNCG RMSC presenters are invited to submit papers to the conference proceedings Topics from the 9th Annual UNCG Regional Mathematics and Statistics Conference to be published by Springer as part of its Springer Proceedings in Mathematics and Statistics series. The deadline for paper submission is December 31, 2013. For more details, please see here.
