UNCG-RUMC is an annual one day conference promoting undergraduate research in mathematics, statistics, and their applications in various fields. This year the conference will be held on

November 8, 2008

and the main theme of the conference is

Mathematical Biology and Computational Mathematics

Talks from other areas of mathematics are also welcome.

The conference will feature contributed undergraduate research talks and an invited talk aimed at a general undergraduate math audience. Anyone who has done original research in mathematics or statistics while an undergraduate is invited to contribute a 15 minute talk about his or her research.

Registration is free and open to the mathematical community, including undergraduate, high school, and graduate math students, high school math teachers, and faculty. The deadline for registration and abstract submission is October 24, 2008.

Modest travel support is available. To apply for travel funds, check the appropriate box on the registration form .

This year event is also a continuation of the Undergraduate Biomath Joint Symposium between College of William and Mary and UNCG held on July 22-23 at W&M, Williamsburg, VA.
