Transportation to Greensboro


Piedmont Triad International Airport (GSO) serves Greensboro.   Here is a list of all current flights.  

PTI Airport is located 14 km/9 miles WNW of Greensboro. The PTI Airport has a contracted taxi/shuttle service. Currently taxi cabs are not allowed to line up outside the terminal. It is necessary to buy a taxi or shuttle ticket at a booth in the middle of the lower (baggage) level of the airport. A taxi ride to Downtown Greensboro currently costs $22; and a shuttle is $19; the shuttle runs hourly on the half hour. See the current prices and details . 

The Park Lane Hotel states that it provides transportation between the hotel and the airport, bus station, or train station, the cost is $20 per person for round trip or one way. Please contact the Park Lane Hotel for details.

Nearby Airports:  It is not unreasonable to fly to Charlotte or Raleigh-Durham and rent a car.  The distance is about 100 miles of Interstate roads.  A discussion of directions from Charlotte or Raleigh-Durham by automobile.

Automobile & Amtrak

For those traveling by automobile, Interstates 85 and 40 run through Greensboro, as does US29.  Amtrak (if still in existence in 2006) stops in Greensboro (GRO).
