Student Travel Grants for STDC 2006

To apply for one of these grants, please submit the following information by E-mail to Professor Jerry E. Vaughan (vaughanj@uncg.edu.) and please use the Subject line: Student Travel Grant STDC2006

1. Name and University Affiliation.

2. The amount requested (based on estimates of expenses) .

3. The minimum amount needed to make attendance at the conference possible.

4. The E-mail address of two available references who are familiar with your work and have agreed to send a letter of recommendation for you by E-mail (one may be your major advisor). Please have letters sent to Professor Jerry E. Vaughan, vaughanj@uncg.edu, Subject line: travel grant stdc2006.

5. Address to which reimbursement check should be sent.

6. A short CV of no more than 2 pages, including the name and E-mail address of your major advisor, and your status towards your degree. We prefer the CV to be attached to your E-mail applications as a PDF file.


Once the conference organizers have received all necessary supporting material, and processed your request they will notify you as soon as possible whether you will receive travel support. Please note that any funds you may receive will be a reimbursement of your travel expenses. Therefore, if you are notified that you will receive travel support you will need to bring receipts documenting your travel expenses to the conference. The conference organizers will process these receipts shortly after the conference and send out reimbursement checks soon thereafter.
