Minors

Requirements for Mathematics Minor

A minimum of 15 semester hours of coursework with a grade of C or better consististing of

  • (3 s.h.) MAT 191: Calculus I;
  • (3 s.h.) MAT 292: Calculus II;
  • (3 s.h.) MAT 310: Elementary Linear Algebra or MAT 353: Introduction to Discrete Mathematics;
  • (6 s.h.) Two additional MAT or STA courses at the 200 level or above that count toward the MATH major.

Requirements for Statistics Minor

A minimum of 15 semester hours of coursework with a grade of C or better consististing of

  • (3 s.h.) STA 290: Introduction to Probability and Statistical Inference;
  • (3 s.h.) STA 301: Statistical Methods;
  • (9 s.h.) Three additional STA courses at the 300 level or above.
  • Note: STA 571 may not be used to fulfill this requirement.
