Brief Bio
Ms. Howell received her M.A. from the department in 1998 and taught here through fall 2006. She taught Contemporary Topics, College Algebra, Precalculus I, Precalculus II, and Business Calculus. Then, starting in 2006, she became the project manager of The UNC System / Guilford County Schools Mathematics Project. She began her doctoral work in 2009, has enjoyed co-teaching the Masters cohort of mathematics teachers, and plans to finish her Ph.D in Spring 2013. Currently, Ms. Howell is wrapping up the final year of the project, teaching MAT 112, and writing her dissertation.
