Christopher Holmes

Christopher HolmesChristopher Holmes is an award-winning filmmaker and a recent recipient of the North Carolina Arts Council’s coveted $10,000 Artist Fellowship Award in Film and Video (2010-2011). His films have been featured in a wide range of film festivals throughout the world, including the Milano Film Festival in Italy, Slamdance, Cinequest, Sidewalk, the San Franscisco Independent Film Festival and the Wisconsin Film Festival, among several others. He has also edited several documentaries, including two feature-length films, through his work with the Unheard Voices Project, and those films have screened on more than 50 PBS stations nationwide, including the New York City, Los Angeles, Boston, San Francisco and Seattle markets. Holmes currently serves as Program Coordinator at the RiverRun International Film Festival in Winston-Salem, NC, and is in the process of developing his first feature film The Lost Colony, tentatively slated for production in summer of 2013. He has also served in the past as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Broadcasting and Cinema at UNC-Greensboro. Currently recovering from career-threatening “Tommy John” elbow surgery, Christopher hopes to one day pitch again in the major leagues.
