Please join the faculty and students of the UNCG School of Music in celebrating the reopening of our treasured Aycock Auditorium following its 2-year, multi-million dollar renovation.  The auditorium is now not only one of the best places to listen to music in North Carolina, but it is definitely one of the most beautiful as well!

The concert on September 6 will mark the first time that UNCG performers will take the stage in a very special and unusual concert.  The finest students in the School will perform in the:

  • Wind Ensemble
  • Orchestra
  • University Chorale and Chamber Singers
  • Jazz Ensemble
  • African Drumming Ensemble
  • Old Time Folk Music Ensemble
  • Percussion Ensemble
  • Opera Theatre with the Casella Sinfonietta
  • Composition Students

Our world-renowned faculty will also perform, including the:

  • Market Street Brass
  • EastWind Ensemble
  • Faculty Jazz Combo
  • Faculty Piano Duo
  • Sextet by the members of our voice faculty
  • Debut of the McIver Ensemble

A tremendous variety of music will be presented in this musical “collage,” making for a totally unique concert experience.  The music will flow seamlessly through each half of the concert, supported by special lighting.
