Composition, Ethnomusicology, Musicology and Theory Department
The Composition, Ethnomusicology, Musicology and Theory Department offers the following degree options:
- Bachelor of Music in Performance with a concentration in composition
- Master of Music in Music Theory
- Master of Music in Composition
- Post-Masters Certificate in Music Theory Pedagogy
In addition to the above degrees, the department serves all School of Music students through coursework geared toward research, practical experience in new music, historical performance practice, and a wide array of history and theory courses. The department is also involved with special ensembles in the School of Music such as the West African Ensemble, Collegium Musicum and the Contemporary Chamber Players.
