Location
Most events of Focus on Piano Literature take place in the Music Building at the corner of West Market and McIver streets on the UNCG campus (exceptions as noted in the program schedule). A campus map will be provided in your folder at registration.
Parking
Parking is available in the McIver Street Parking Deck adjacent to the Music Building for a special three-day rate of $10. Please indicate on your registration form if you wish to purchase a McIver Deck parking pass. Those opting to purchase a pass will receive it by mail with the confirmation of your registration. When inserted into the slot at the exit gate, your reusable pass will lift the gate. (To enter the deck, it is necessary to operate the ticket dispenser at the entrance gate; that ticket may be discarded once you have entered.) Following the evening concerts, student workers will facilitate traffic at the exit gate.
Airport
Several airlines serve the Piedmont Triad International Airport: Allegiant, American, Continental, Delta, Northwest, Skybus, United, USAirways. Several hotels offer complimentary airport transportation for their guests; use the courtesy phone near baggage claim. Otherwise, registrants may take a shuttle (leaving every hour on the half-hour, approximately $16 - $21 depending on destination) or a taxi (approximately $20 - $25 depending on destination) into town.
