Online Request for Graduate Audition

Please read prior to submitting your online audition request. An on-campus audition is required for full admission to a degree program and consideration for a Graduate Assistantship. The deadline to apply and audition for assistantship consideration is February 28, 2009.

MM Applicants

  1. Taped audition may be accepted for pre-audition evaluation only with advance permission from the Director of Graduate Studies.
  2. M.M. applicants in Instrumental Conducting are required to submit a pre-audition recording. Submit this recording along with the “Graduate Pre-Audition Request” form. No other M.M. programs require a pre-audition. See Master of Music in Instrumental Conducting for additional details.
  3. All M.M. in Performance applicants should complete this form to request an audition date. Composition applicants may also use this form to request an interview for a Graduate Assistantship (must also submit a Graduate Assistantship Application). You will be provided an audition/interview time prior to the selected audition date.

DMA Applicants

  1. Pre-audition materials required prior to live audition. Submit Graduate Pre-Audition Request form with pre-audition materials to the Director of Graduate Studies in Music. If pre-audition performance is of sufficient quality, student will be invited to campus for a live audition and interview.
  2. Upon invitation for a live audition, complete the Graduate Audition Request form (available in pdf or via this online form). See Doctor of Musical Arts for additional details.
