Greetings to everyone!
I am humbled by the opportunity to represent you as your new UNCG School of Nursing Alumni Association President. As I begin my new role, I would ask you to join me in a moment of reflection, recounting our beginnings at UNCG. Remember your first nursing course? Your first clinical patient? Your first exam? It is those memories that influence our present nursing careers. It is those foundational experiences that help shape us into the great UNCG nurses we now are!
Now as UNCG alumni, it is our privilege to share the message that UNCG nurses are both well educated and well prepared for the work environment which places ever more demands on the role of nurses. As leaders, we have many opportunities at work, social gatherings, speaking forums and networking events to promote the UNCG School of Nursing.
What we desire from you most is your “heart” for staying connected to the school. As nurses, we are nurturers. Our caring nature and desire to help is what enables us to care for the patients and communities we encounter daily. I invite each of you to “nurture a nurse” and join the Alumni Association. By doing so, we will build our collegiality and strengthen the School of Nursing representation in our UNCG Alumni Association.
If you have any questions, concerns or if I can be of a help to you, please feel free to contact me at twilliams33@triad.rr.com .
Remember….”nurture a nurse” and join us!
