Sigma Theta Tau International facts...
- Sigma Theta Tau was founded in 1922 by six nurses at the Indiana University Training School for Nurses, Indianapolis, Indiana.
- Sigma Theta Tau is the only International Honor Society of Nursing and the second largest individual member nursing organization with more than 200,000 members and chapters in 359 colleges and universities.
- The honor society name comes from the initials of the Greek words Storga, Tharos,Tima meaning Love, Courage, Honor.
