The Office of Academic Outreach (OAO) in the School of Health and Human Sciences at UNCG has over 100 years of combined expertise in the design, implementation and evaluation of academic outreach programs and distance learning courses. The OAO can assist your organization with the following services on a consultation basis:

  • Conduct feasibility studies, including return-on-investment (ROI) calculations for academic outreach programs and distance learning courses.
  • Build academic outreach programs and distance learning applications for your organization from the ground up using a proven systematic and contextual process.
  • Create academic outreach and distance education applications using the following technologies:
    • Web-based streaming audio,
    • Web-based streaming video,
    • Voice-over PowerPoint using Impatica,
    • Podcasting, CD-ROM, and DVD.
  • Design interactive web-based applications on a wide range of health topics.
  • Develop creative business plans utilizing distance education applications that meet the unique specifications of your organization and/or institution.
  • Develop academic outreach programs and distance learning courses using MOODLE or BlackBoard course management systems.
  • Provide academic outreach and distance learning support services for your funded projects.
