The Office of Research Compliance Mission Statement: "The Office of Research Compliance is a catalyst for advancing the research mission of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro."

Our responsibilities include: Developing compliance policies and infrastructure that promote creativity and an entrepreneurial culture. Ensuring that compliance policies and educational programs promote both a culture of innovation and a culture of compliance on the University of North Carolina at Greensboro campus.

Providing service and resources in areas of compliance that enhance research, teaching, and other creative endeavors. Enhancing partnerships and interdisciplinary compliance collaborations with government, industry and other research enterprises of higher learning.

Staff Information:

Eric Allen, Director
Eric’s primary role is to serve as a resource to federal government and the UNCG research community at large.He provides the campus with enrichment programs, developmental workshops, and assistance with remainingin line with regulatory guidance. He also oversees the all activities under the Office of Research Compliance (ORC) its purview. In addition, Eric strives to ensure that the ORC is a user friendly research service center.

Joseph Andrews, Assistant Director
Joseph is a member of the Institutional Review Board (IRB), coordinates Full Board IRB meetings and assists the ORC director with training, annual data safety monitoring visits and issues related to conflict of interest and misconduct.  The assistant director also coordinates the review of IACUC protocols and assists with the semi-annual program review and facilities inspection.  UNCG researchers are encouraged to contact Joseph Andrews with specific questions or requestsfor consultation regarding their research proposals

Aicha Alston-Davis, Program Coordinator
Aicha has been at UNCG for five years. As the Program Coordinator, in the ORC she assists researchers with the status of thir protocols and other administative issues that may arise in the office.
