The Office of Research Compliance Mission Statement: "The Office of Research Compliance is a catalyst for advancing the research mission of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro."

Our responsibilities include: Developing compliance policies and infrastructure that promote creativity and an entrepreneurial culture. Ensuring that compliance policies and educational programs promote both a culture of innovation and a culture of compliance on the University of North Carolina at Greensboro campus.

Providing service and resources in areas of compliance that enhance research, teaching, and other creative endeavors. Enhancing partnerships and interdisciplinary compliance collaborations with government, industry and other research enterprises of higher learning.

Staff Information:

Eric Allen, Director
Eric’s primary role is to serve as a resource to federal government and the UNCG research community at large. He provides the campus with enrichment programs, developmental workshops, and assistance with remaining in line with regulatory guidance. He also oversees all the activities under the Office of Research Compliance (ORC) purview. In addition, Eric strives to ensure that the ORC is a user friendly research service center. *contact*

Beth Cable, Post-Approval Coordinator
Mrs. Cable is responsible for facilitating reviews of determination and exemption application and initial reviews for renewal and modification applications. She serves as an ex-officio member of the IRB and acts as a liaison to investigators guiding them through the review process. Mrs. Cable conducts pre-review of IACUC protocols, coordinates committee functions, and serves as an ex-officio member of the IACUC. Additionally is responsible for reporting and data management within the Spartan IRB Management System (SIMS) and Spartan Animal Care System (SACS). *contact*

Sherry Ritter, Program Coordinator
Mrs. Ritter is responsible for greeting all visitors in person and over the phone, managing all internal office actions, maintaining the ORC website, meeting scheduling, and providing support to all compliance committees. *contact*

Spoorthy Nimmagadda
Ms. Nimmagadda earned her Bachelors of Technology in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from V.R. Siddhartha Engineering College in India. Currently she is in pursuit of a Masters Degree in Computer Science. Spoorthy joined the Office of Research Compliance (ORC) in the fall of 2009 as the Quality Assurance Specialist. Spoorthy's role in the ORC is to maintain the ORC focus quality control for the office through verification and accuracy of files, resources and programs.
