Technology Outreach at Nussbaum

Business Counseling

Counsel businesses and private inventors on how to assess new products or services as to concept viability and intellectual property protection.

Serve as a portal to small business development and management resources.

Education

Host seminars and workshops on technology transfer and commercialization, funded research opportunities, contracting with federal agencies and laboratories.

Facilitate internships for NC A&T and UNCG students with businesses at the Nussbaum Center for Entrepreneurship.

Research

Conduct market research of products, services and competition.

Search and review business literary citations.

Intellectual Property Consulting

Consult with small businesses regarding intellectual property protection; offer referrals to IP attourneys throughthe Offices of Technology Transfer at NC A&T and UNCG.

Offer initial prior art (patent) searches; provide related domestic patents.

Technical Assistance

Provide businesses with access to expert researchers, faculty and technology commercialization specialists at NC A&T and UNCG.

Facilitate business collaboration with NC A&T and UNCG on a Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) and Technology Transfer (STTR) programs.

Technology Licensing Opportunities

Market technologies developed by NASA's three Southeast Field Centers: Kennedy Space Center, Marshall Space Center, and Stennis Space Center to North Carolina companies.
