Pre-Professional Programs and Public Health Education

UNCG's eight pre-professional programs offer all courses required for admission to medical or dental schools, to pharmacy, veterinary, occupational or physical therapy schools, or as needed for entrance into law school. A two-year pre-engineering curriculum prepares students to transfer to schools with engineering programs.

The pre-professional programs are not majors in themselves but programs of study. Students following one of these programs must select another academic area of study as their first major. Students interested in pursuing one of the pre-professional curriculums are urged to seek advising early in their academic careers.

Please note: Your primary major will be Public health Education with a concentration in Community Health Education or Health Studies. Pre-professional programs are not primary majors. Students following a pre-professional curriculum must select another area of study as their primary major.

For more information about the Pre-professional Programs at UNCG please visit the Pre Dentistry, Pre Medicine, & Pre Veterinary Medicine (PRED, PREM, PVET) webpages of UNCG.
