Three College Observatory Telescope Schedule

The Three College Observatory's 32-inch telescope is open to the public on selected PUBLIC nights.

The observatory is a small building so it is necessary to limit the number of guests at each session. Please request tickets for public nights by filling out this online ticket request form. There is no cost for the tickets -- UNCG faculty volunteer their time to host these public nights. Alternately, you may call the UNCG Physics Department at 336-334-5844 for tickets, further information, or to schedule an observing session for a group. Public nights are seriously oversubscribed; please call before attempting to obtain public night tickets for any group larger than 6 – 8 people.

On most nights a decision will be made as to cloud conditions, sky suitability, and road conditions after about 5:30 – 6:30 pm. To determine whether the observatory will be open, please call the observatory answering service 334-3242 (after about 5:30 or 6:30 pm) for a recorded message.
