These Summer
Institutes are intended as in-service instruction for high school or middle
school physics and/or physical science teachers. It is not necessary that a teacher enroll in
the institutes in any particular order.
Teachers may apply for up to three institutes in a summer. Preference will be given to teachers who have
attended previous summer institutes and who request summer institutes in their
local area.
Teachers may
attend only one institute on a particular topic (for example, only one
institute on “Waves and Light” or only one institute on “Energy and Momentum”).
Teachers are asked to complete an application form for each institute
they wish to attend. Teachers are also
requested not to apply for an institute on a topic they have completed in the
past.
