About the Parliamentary Documents Center

The Center collects two sets of documents - membership directories and sessional reports - from each of the newly-democratic parliaments in Central Europe. The Center also collects election statistics and other publications relating to legislative activities.

A Titles Directory of the membership directories and sessional reports is available in a section of the same name, and where necessary the titles of the documents have been translated into English. The section entitled `Parliamentary Indicators' contains tables relating to the electoral systems and cameral structures in which the parliaments of Central Europe operate. Our Working Papers Series is a collection of articles and papers which represents the current work of scholars and researchers in the democratic and legislative development of Central and Eastern Europe. Finally, our list of Links and Other Resources contains links to the parliaments of Central and Eastern Europe, as well as to many research groups and technical assistance agencies.

The Parliamentary Documents Center for Central Europe is a project of The University of North Carolina Greensboro. It is an outgrowth of an international research conference organized and chaired by Dr. David Olson, Center Director, in Prague, Czech Republic.
