Student Training

Over the past 10 years more than forty doctoral students in clinical psychology have received clinical training through the AD/HD Clinic. The AD/HD Clinic has also provided graduate level clinical training to students from other health care training programs, including:

  • Family Practice residents from the UNC School of Medicine based at Cone Hospital
  • Child Psychiatry fellows from Wake Forest University School of Medicine
  • Graduate students from the Masters degree program in Clinical Psychology at Appalachian State University
  • Graduate students from the Masters degree program in Social Work at UNCG
  • Graduate students from the Masters degree program in Special Education at UNCG

Community Outreach

Another way in which the AD/HD Clinic fulfills its educational mission is through its in-service presentations to parent groups and community agencies. AD/HD Clinic faculty, students, and staff made a total of 15 local, regional, and national presentations in 2006.
