AD/HD Parent Support Group

Over the past three years the AD/HD Parent Support Group has been an invaluable resource for parents of children with AD/HD in the Greensboro area. Meetings are held on Tuesday evenings every other month. All meetings are free and open to the public.

Presenters typically provide a one hour presentation, after which there is a 30 minute question and answer period. A large number and variety of topics have been covered thus far, including home management, school-based interventions, and medication management.

Most presentations are given by medical and mental health professionals from the Greensboro area. Periodically presentations are also given by nationally recognized experts. Last year, for example, Dr. George DuPaul spoke on the topic of AD/HD in the schools, and Dr. Kevin Murphy discussed adult AD/HD.
