Assessments

Assessment is commonly a part of therapeutic services to determine needs or monitor progress.  However, youth may need more formal evaluations to help diagnose emotional, behavioral, developmental or learning needs.  Our clinic utilizes assessment measures, tests, and interviews that are developed and supported by research. Evaluations take place across one or more appointments that are 1-3 hours in length each.

Full Psychological Evaluations:

  • Each evaluation is tailored to address the referral question and current difficulties you have when seeking the service
  • May include diagnostic assessment of emotional, behavioral, developmental and learning needs
  • Families receive a written report as well as face-to-face feedback about results and recommendations

Learning Disorder (LD) Testing:

  • Involves testing aptitude and achievement to determine if there are weaknesses that affect reading, writing, or mathematics
  • Used for educational settings to document difficulties and to request accommodations
  • Families receive a written report as well as face-to-face feedback about results and recommendations
