UNCG Psychology Clinic The UNCG Psychology Clinic is an outpatient facility offering affordable, high quality mental health services to all people from the Triad area. A non-profit organization, the Psychology Clinic is staffed by the Psychology Department at UNCG. The UNCG Psychology Clinic offers a full range of therapy services for adults, adolescents, and children. Individual, family, and group therapy are provided for a variety of difficulties. Examples of problems commonly treated at the UNCG Psychology Clinic include depression, mood swings, anxiety/stress, social problems. marital and relational problems, family discord, phobias, panic attacks, anger, chronic pain, obsessive-compulsive disorder, oppositional behavior, and school difficulties. [more] AD/HD Clinic at UNCG The AD/HD clinic at UNCG specializes in both adult and child attention deficit and hyperactivity disorders, and has been available to the public since 1996. Its mission is to provide state-of-the-art mental health care services to the community, increase our understanding of AD/HD through research, and to train graduate students in the practice of clinical psychology. [more] RIGHT Track Project The RIGHT (Research Investigating Growth and Health Trajectories) Track Research Project focuses on the development and developmental trajectories of early disruptive behavior. The project involves 350 young children and thier families from Guilford County, N.C. who have been followed from age 2 to age 10. This study is examining the contextual, familial, and child characteristics that may contribute to early academic and social success versus challenging disruptive behavior. [more] |
