Dr. Rodriguez is a clinical child psychologist whose primary area of interest revolves around abusive and dysfunctional parenting, the emotional well-being of children, and the interaction between these constructs. Much of her published work and national and international conference presentations have concentrated on the area of child maltreatment, primarily with respect to severe physical discipline and physical abuse in at-risk and community samples. Her recent work has involved the development of innovative abuse risk assessment tools, particularly analog approaches.
