The RIGHT Track Research Project focuses on the development and developmental trajectories of early disruptive behavior. This research is funded by National Institute of Mental Health and is conducted in collaboration with Dr. Susan Calkins, Dr. Susan Keane, and Dr. Lilly Shanahan of the Psychology Department, and Dr. Marion O'Brien of the Department of Human Development and Family Studies. The project involves 350 young children and their families from Guilford County, N.C. who have been followed from age 2 to age 10. This study is examining the contextual, familial, and child characteristics that may contribute to early academic and social success versus challenging disruptive behavior.
