Attention, faculty and staff! Do you have unused office supplies cluttering up your office? Need new ones but don’t wanna spend the money? Come check out the OWRR’s brand new Office Supply Exchange! Faculty and staff are encouraged to drop off unwanted, lightly used items and take office supplies as needed from our inventory. Located at the back of North Spencer residence hall (Gray Drive next to the Atrium), the OSE is a one-stop shop for all your office needs. We have three-ring binders, hanging folders, envelopes, computer paper, pens, pencils, desk organizers, staplers, and much more—and it’s completely free!
We at the OWRR are excited about the launch of this program for a number of reasons. Every year, departments spend thousands on office supplies. By providing an opportunity to acquire free office supplies, this program will help to mitigate some of those costs. In addition, the OSE will reduce waste at its source (by avoiding unnecessary supply orders), and divert already purchased materials from the landfill. So whether you’re taking supplies or leaving them, everybody wins!
Hours: The space will be open to the public from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM every Tuesday & Thursday.
If you have items you’d like to get rid of that are not on this list, call us and we’ll let you know if we can accept them.
The OWRR is happy to provide this free service to university employees. Please let us know if you have questions or suggestions! 334.5192, recycle@uncg.edu.
This summer, join your colleagues in a campus initiative to preserve, recycle, and securely dispose of records that have met retention requirements!
Activities will include:
Note: For more info about retention and disposition of records, go to the Records Management web site or contact the University Records Officer at 334-3111. No destruction of records may take place if litigation or audits are reasonably anticipated or foreseeable.
This initiative has been made possible by Information Technology Services and Business Affairs through a partnership with Shred-it, a document destruction company.
Check out UNCG's first Sustainability Assessment (PDF). This campus-wide analysis evaluates UNCG's social, environmental, and economic impacts in hopes of providing a baseline framework for future planning and measuring progress.
