- Commingled:
- Paper: Mags, Newspaper, Soft-back books, neon colored paper
- Glass: Green, Brown, Clear
- Aluminum: Soda Cans
- Cardboard
- Plastic: #1 & #2 Bottles
- Steel: Tin Cans & Aerosol Cans
- Chipboard (cereal boxes, etc.)
- Mind the GAPPS! (Glass, Aluminum, Paper, Plastic, Steel)
- Alternative Recycling
- The following items can be recycled thru our alternative recycling program.
- Batteries
- Ink Toner Cartridges
- CDs/Floppy Discs
- Electronics
- Cell Phones
- For faculty/staff: Send alternative recycling items thru campus mail. We will pick up large loads—just call Ben @ 6-0433.
- For students: Alternative recycling bins can be found in the laundry room of your residence hall. (Pic here?)
- Books
- Soft-backed books: Toss 'em in the commingled bin.
- Hard-backed books: Call us for pickup!
- Rigid Plastics
NO!!! (Keep it out!)
- Pizza Boxes
- Styrofoam
- Napkins & paper towels
- Disposable cups or plates
- Plastic wrap & bags
- Take to your nearest grocery store drop site for recycling.
- Hard-backed books
- These CAN’T go in commingled, but we do accept them for reuse. We work with Better World Books to redistribute used hard-backed books; call us for a pickup or for more info.
