A Special Thanks
It is with grateful hearts the OWRR thanks Jenny Paige and Rachel Grant for all they did to make this department what it is today.
Jenny Paige has been involved in some capacity with department for almost 10 years. Starting as a student intern she implemented programs such as Cram and Scram and perfected programs such as student move-in. Jenny worked her way to the top spot in the department as Environmental and Sustainability manager where she helped form and co-chair the Campus Sustainability Committee. She will be sorely missed as she saw the OWRR grow for the past decade and was instrumental in forming the cooperative relationship with the rest of campus, she has moved to Portland OR and will pursue her graduate school aspirations.
Rachel Grant also started as a student intern 5 years ago. She was the point person for many special events like Earth Day and Green Games for several years. Her ambitious spirit and collection of diverse talents made recycling on campus more user-friendly. She has moved on to pursue her interests in Blacksburg VA.
As Interim Director for the OWRR Ben Kunka (Operations Supervisor) will be tasked with keeping the department functioning until replacements for Jenny and Rachel are hired. Please send all communications to recycle@uncg.edu or call 334-5192 for assistance with everything OWRR.
