Transfer Students Complete UNCG Transfer information and course equivalencies can be found at http://transfer-here.uncg.edu Well-qualified students with 30 academic semester hours or more of college credit from a regionally accredited institution are encouraged to transfer to UNCG to continue their studies. A student who has college credit totaling fewer than 30 semester hours from a regionally accredited institution is designated a "freshman-transfer" and must meet requirements under both transfer and freshman admissions programs. After receipt of the above credentials, the UNCG admissions staff reviews the application to determine admissibility. The number of semester hours of credit for previous college-level work which can be transferred to UNCG and applied toward a bachelor's degree will be determined by the University Registrar after formal admission (see Transfer Articulation Credit). Transfer credit to be awarded is determined by the quality as well as the quantity of the student's previous college work. Course work completed with a grade of D+, D or D- will not transfer hours of credit but may be used to fulfill course requirements. |
