Public
History Concentration
Historians work in a variety of settings including museums, historic
sites, national parks, archives, and historical societies. This concentration
is designed to introduce students to the wide range of professional
opportunities in history beyond traditional teaching and research.
Students will receive training in the methods and materials public
historians employ to interpret history for a popular audience. The
concentration offers practical experience in professional settings.
Courses in the concentration may also count toward completion of the
major.
