An interdisciplinary course introducing students to substantive concerns of International and Global Studies and the methods of investigation and transferable skills employed in it.

223 Foundational Topics in International and Global Studies (3:3)

Pr. none other than those previously assigned to the department-based courses with which this course is cross-listed

May be repeated for credit when topic changes.

An intermediate-level course concentrating on foundational topics of international and/or global concern. The content of this course may grow out of issues explored in IGS 200 or 201. (Fall & Spring & Summer)

333 Selected Topics: International and Global Studies (3:3)

May be repeated for credit as topic changes.

An advanced-level course concentrating on specific topics of international and/or global concern. The content of this course may grow out of materials explored initially in IGS 200 or 201.

400 Capstone Seminar in International and Global Studies (3:3)

Pr. IGS 200 or 201

Required for majors and minors. Majors and second majors should have completed at least 15 s.h. of IGS-qualified additional courses; minors should have completed their 6 s.h. of required additional courses. Exceptions must be approved by the Director of IGS.

An interdisciplinary capstone seminar offering in-depth examinations of contemporary international and global issues and applications of advanced research methods and relevant transferable skills.

493 Honors Work (3:3)

Pr. permission of instructor; permission of IGS director; minimum 3.30 GPA and 12 s.h. in the major
