Entrepreneurship Minor

Required: minimum of 15 semester hours

The Entrepreneurship minor, consisting of 15 s.h., is available for majors outside of the Bryan School of Business and Economics, as well as for majors in the Bryan School, who are in good standing with the University. The two paths are outlined below:

I. Non-Business Majors

The minor complements professional and arts and sciences fields of study and is intended to bring an entrepreneurial perspective to all major fields of study. To earn an entrepreneurship minor, a student a must meet the following requirements in the order listed:

  1. MGT 240 or BUS 205 with a grade of C (2.0) or better
  2. Apply for the entrepreneurship minor in the Bryan School Student Services Office, Room 232 Bryan Building
  3. FIN 200 with a grade of C (2.0) or better
  4. Consult with an advisor in the Bryan School Student Services Office to select three additional electives from III below

II. Bryan School Majors

The minor is intended to bring an entrepreneurial perspective to all majors in the Bryan School. To earn an entrepreneurship minor, a student must meet the following requirements in the order listed:

  1. MGT 240 or BUS 205 with a grade of C (2.0) or better
  2. Apply for the entrepreneurship minor in the Bryan School Student Services Office, Room 232 Bryan Building
  3. Consult with an advisor in the Bryan School Student Services Office to select four additional electives from III below

III. Electives for the Entrepreneurship Minor

BUS 2051, 306, 342, 450; ECO 215, 312; FIN 2002; ISM 290, 291, 292; MGT 2401, 340; or other approved electives.

1 Students may count either BUS 205 or MGT 240 toward the minor requirements, but not both.
2 This course is intended for non-business majors and is not an eligible elective for business majors pursuing the entrepreneurship minor.
