Duke University and Elon University offer the Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT). UNC Chapel Hill, East Carolina University, Western Carolina University, and Winston-Salem State University offer the Master’s in Physical Therapy degree (MPT) Students seeking either a MPT or a DPT degree may major in any academic area but will be expected to complete a core of science courses. The minimum grade point average for admission is 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Volunteer experience in physical therapy is required for admission.
