Can my mother stop by and pick up a copy of my transcript?

A parent or spouse can obtain a copy of a student's transcript only if the student provides them with written, dated, and signed permission for release of the transcript. The person picking up the transcript must also provide photo ID. Federal law prohibits release of grades or academic record information to anyone but the student without this special permission. A student's records may be released to a legal guardian who submits evidence that he/she declares the student as a dependent on his/her most recent Federal Income Tax form.
