GEC Petition for Transfer Credit

This form may be submitted by admitted undergraduate students to petition for a transfer course, originally equated as an elective, to fulfill general education category requirements (GEC). Please transcribe or copy and paste course descriptions from the other institution's course catalog into the "Other Comments" field. If a course description is not available on the Web, you may be asked to submit a hard copy of the course description for our consideration.

Petitions for Writing Intensive and Speaking Intensive credit will require a copy of the course syllabus; therefore, you must submit a hard copy of the petition instead of using this online form.

After receiving your petition form, the URO will review the course and notify you of our decision via e-mail. To contact the Transfer Articulation Division, call 336/334-5946 or e-mail us at transfer@uncg.edu.
