Suggested Curriculum Plans for North Carolina Community College Students

The following are suggested community college curriculum plans from the faculty of The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. The plans should lead to a student earning either an Associate in Arts or Associate in Science degree from most of North Carolina’s community colleges. For specific two-year degree requirements at your school, please consult your advisor. In most instances the sequencing of the courses is not important. For example, some students may wish to complete a literature course the first semester rather than waiting until a later semester. Many of the suggested courses will fulfill specific degree requirements at UNCG.

2011–12 Guide

The UNCG faculty remind students that these are only suggested plans and it may be possible for students to deviate from these plans and still transfer to UNCG and successfully complete a bachelor’s degree. In most cases it is more important for the student to complete the A.A. or A.S. than specific courses.

All elective courses must be chosen from college transferable courses.
