- David Arnold
('88) lives in Winston-Salem, where he is a business law paralegal for Bell
Davis & Pitt. For 13+ years, he has been a soloist/section leader in
the 80-voice choir at Winston-Salem's Centenary United Methodist Church; for
12 seasons he was a member of the professional choral ensemble, Bel Canto
Company. With these two groups he has recorded 10 CDs, including the
bass solo work for Mozart's Requiem. Since his days in RC, he
has sung in Czechoslovakia, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Italy, Russia and
closer to home in Carnegie Hall. He enjoys spending time with his
partner of four years, Rob, and their Tibetan terrier, Abby. He is
also the proud papa of lovebirds, Fanny and Felix (named after the
Mendelssohn siblings). David is currently taking time off from some of
his musical obligations to pursue a Master of Arts in Liberal Studies at

moved from my crazy life in Washington, DC to Omaha, Nebraska (still with

an immigration attorney and am now supervising legal clinics sponsored

a challenging time to be helping non-citizens. I find serenity in
the many hours I spend driving around the rolling hills of Iowa.

that I started a business in June of '99. I own Wedding Belles, a Bridal
Boutique, near Atlantic City, NJ. I am still a flight attendant with
United Airlines out of Phil, Pa. It makes for a CRAZY life, but a

up and running very soon.

the RAs (sorry Kim!) James now lives in spicy Brixton and baby sits animated
characters for British television. Now when his work mates ask him why
he lives in South London, he just says, "because I'm from the South!"

Patricia Curry Jarrett (‘81)
lives in Greensboro
with husband Doug, and is a receptionist for Industries of the Blind on
Lee Street. She was awarded the Milton J. Samuelson Career Achievement
Award, which recognizes her career achievement in spite of disabilities
and her work fighting stereotypes about people with disabilities.
She served on the Mayor’s Committee for Persons with Disabilities in Greensboro
in 1995 and 1996 and carried the Olympic torch on its way to Atlanta.

Michael Driver (1987) is currently a licensed
Real Estate Agent for Kriegsman and Associates, which pays much better
than retail with less hours... He also has finished principal photography
for Plate of Shrimp productions first full length "film" (seeing as it
was shot on video... lol) entitled Morris Attacks, in which he played
a variety of parts, including but not limited to: a robot named Crunchy,
an elf, a bear, a very tall leprechaun, a Mexican minstrel, and himself.
He is currently working on a full length romantic tragicomedy to be shot
in the fall. Aside from that and freelance writing (including a recent
stint for GSBO's Triad Style), he is putting out a compilation of local
bands to benefit the Women's Resource center, was elected president of
the Greater Glenwood Neighborhood Association, he works on his houses,
plays with his dogs, and watches a lot of movies. Oh and occasionally

has lived
in New Mexico, Connecticut, New York, Maryland, and South Carolina.
He earned an MFA in Dramatic Writing at NYU and recently returned to Greensboro

- Karen E. Forehand ('84) was killed on New
Year's Eve, 1995. After leaving RC, she had received her law degree
from Duke University, held a partnership in a New York law firm and in
her own practice in Cary, NC. Most importantly, she'd touched many

John Coltrane Jazz Composers Fellowship, which led to the recording of
his "Dance for the Moon." He has been with the Greensboro Music Academy
since 1989, creating it's award-winning Jazz Education Center and teaching
jazz and classical piano. He is also on the faculty at Guilford College.

a grad student in Rochester, NY and lived there for 6 years with wife Lisa,
who is a neurologist. They then moved to Alabama so she could try private
practice. The couple plans to flee the Deep South this summer; probably
to Wilmington. Rick is almost done with his dissertation and fears

“I’m living in an undergraduate dorm at the University of Chicago, doing
Tom and Michelle Taylor’s old job (with my husband, Scott)! There
are many days when I really appreciate the role RC played (and the people
there) in shaping my life. Students stop by all hours of the day
and night, and living in a community intensely again has been both a joy
and a challenge. My husband is close to being ABD in his program
here in Religion and Literature. I’m working full-time as clinic
coordinator and therapist for New Life Clinic in the downtown Chicago outpatient
clinic. I really enjoy my work and was able to transfer my job here
when we moved from Atlanta 2 years ago.” I

Alex Goldstein (‘86)lives in Durham and recently
returned to UNCG to participate in a series of events commemorating the
November 1979 Klan-Nazi shootings in Greensboro, during which his step-father
was killed. At age 11, Alex was present during the anti-Klan rally in which
his mother also protested. (UNCG students watched a short film assembled
from footage of the event and a discussion followed. This program was held
in Mary Foust and was organized by current RC freshman Meredith Arnold.)

center for children with emotional and behavioral problems in Charlotte.

- Ellen Gozion (1981) is a soap-maker
by hobby and a pianist for the Pittsburgh ballet theatre by trade. She

Erica Tireman Loring
(1980) I'm still living in Cary, NC and getting ready to celebrate 20 years of marriage to fellow UNC-G graduate Ken Loring. I'm still working for Global Knowledge. It has been almost 9 years now.
We have 2 daughters - Kasey, 15, and Samantha, 9. We survived our first
year of high school and now we are venturing into the life of having a teen-aged driver. Kasey enjoys going to summer camp at UNC-G and it is always
fun to walk around campus when we drop her off and pick her up. So many
changes! Except the food in the cafeteria somehow remains the same. We are

5 years, then moved to L.A. and taught part-time at USC for 2 years. Then

years this summer. We have two daughters Sydney Jane Berry born Dec. 9, 2001
and Jordan Sorrento Berry born Feb. 22, 2005. Sydney is named for her
grandfather, Sydney Berry and is a fourth generation Jane. Sorrento is one
of our favorite towns to visit in Italy. I still work for Leather Resource

Chris Winters (’86)
got an M.F.A. in creative writing from Emerson
College in Boston, joined the Peace Corps and spent four years in Hungary,
where he met his wife Annamari. They returned to the U.S. in 1999 to
settle in Seattle, where Chris spent seven years reporting for a newspaper
that folded in early 2007. Deploying his parachute just in time, Chris is
now the managing editor of Washington CEO Magazine (www.washingtonceo.com),
and Annamari teaches English as a Second Language to more recently arrived
